Project | THE CLUB

The Club is a loyalty program packaged through The Club magazine. The magazine was initially launched in the early 90s but was pulled out of the Zimbabwean market due to the tough economical conditions in the early 2000s. 

April 2014 saw the reintroduction of anew, refreshed and energised Club magazine - a project that I oversaw. The Club was reintroduced as a pocket size A5 bi-monthly magazine up until December 2018 when yet again faced with economical challenges, the magazine was moved from a print edition to a digital publication produced monthly and hosted on Issuu.com

Project | 02
Project | Edgars Local Designer Initiative

Developed and launched the Edgars local designer initiative. An annual program currently in its 4th year running that develops local designers through training them and stocking and selling their end product in Edgars Zimbabwe stores. Every year, 3 local designers are selected and intern at the Edgars clothing manufacturing division for a 3 month period. in the 3 months, the designers are taken through the entire manufacturing process, from design, to pattern making, sample construction, fabric selection, trims until they have a full range that is then stocked and sold in 3 top Edgars chain stores. The product from this initiative achieves high sell off rates in store of +/-65% as the pieces are unique and create excitement for customers. The empowered designers have gone on to start their own clothing ranges while some are employed by ourselves or other clothing factories. To date, the project has successfully churned out 12 young designers.

Project | 03
Project | Edgars Brand Campaigns

Developed a unique customer activation platform to launch summer annually which has seen the Edgars brand in Zimbabwe hosting the likes of Sophie Ndaba and David Tlale. The most recent campaign was the  2018 summer campaign themed “sound of summer” – a unique brand campaign in partnership with local musicians who developed an Edgars summer anthem. The objective with the brand campaigns is to keep the Edgars brand top of mind in customer mindsets, in order to achieve this successfully, there has been constant need to focus on Big Ideas that are topical. For the past 4 years consistently, the brand campaigns have been successful - propelling the brands to achieve Top of Mind Awareness ratings of over 70%
